About Lynn

Well, let’s begin. How can I make this ‘not boring’?

It all began many years ago when a tiny spark of the Divine…no. Too far back.

Okay, my metaphysical CV, then. I began having random psychic events after beginning meditation at age 19. Actually, I’d had them since I was a wee child, but hadn’t identified them as such. They became quite problematic as a teen and young adult. In an attempt to understand and mange the ‘events’, I became a student—and almost immediately thereafter—a clairvoyant medium with a spiritualist church. After a few years, I fled from the pressure of that environment to energy medicine, leading me back to all things intuitive and ending up with mediumship again. Full circle!

I’ve spent more than 45 years studying and teaching intuitive and psychic development and working in the field of energy medicine. I’ve maintained a successful business as a Natural Healthcare Practitioner (largely under the banner of Polarity Therapy) for over 35 years. Doing the math (and looking at the photo) I’m sure you’ve identified the fact that I am no spring chicken…but I am an experienced one!

That being said…

It is important to acknowledge that while I have taken many courses and workshops in varying therapeutic modalities, I am not a trained psychotherapist, psychologist, clinician, or counselor. It has always been a cornerstone of my business to encourage clients to work with other appropriately trained professionals when those modalities are better suited for their needs, or in conjunction with my services and by mutual agreement.

To CV or not to CV? That is the Question.

I suppose it’s only appropriate that I should offer you a more substantial account of my background, so you’re able to see what’s shaped my current work and why it might be relevant for you.  Here I offer a somewhat more complete, yet deeply informal, description of my work and studies over the years. Since there’s no sequence or official category to place clairvoyance and mediumship, let’s just say that they’ve permeated my life from the time I was a child, in a way that remained unidentified as such until my late teens. It was in the process of understanding, and learning how to control and use it in a healthy way, that I was introduced to metaphysics and energy medicine. Synchronicity, miracles, and all that cool stuff started happening and nudged me onto the path. And now a brief window onto how that showed up in the ‘real’ world…

I began working with Polarity Therapy as part of my practicum for completion of my professional practitioner training in 1986. I began my teacher training in 1991. I continued working at McGill University while I finished my courses and built my business. After a leave of absence and a lengthy trip to Asia, I relinquished my position at the University in 1995. I continued to teach Polarity Therapy and/or Developing Intuition until 2010, and saw private clients until Covid hit…and then life changed. In 2020 I transitioned into a web-based business and expanded my purview to include a more personal approach to teaching and guiding people through the massive transitions they were experiencing in both personal and business life.

I was a member of the National Association of Naturopaths as a Natural Healthcare Practitioner, from 1996 until I left Quebec in 2021. My credentials were not recognized in my new home province of Nova Scotia and therefore I chose not to renew my membership.

I was a member of the American Polarity Therapy Association as a BCPP (Board Certified Polarity Practitioner), and RPE (Registered Polarity Educator). I joined the organization in 1995 and respectfully retired my membership in 2023 as the focus of my work was changing substantially and demanded my full attention.

I’ve studied many things over the years. During the busiest times, when travel and extensive courses were time prohibitive, some courses were studied only to supply enough Continuing Education Credit to maintain my professional memberships and so they’ll not grace my list. Those that are on the list were of keen interest to me, providing new approaches to the foundation of my work which was Polarity Therapy/Cranial Sacral. For this reason, I only include the courses, workshops, or techniques that were in some way incorporated into and enhanced my work. Although I’m fascinated with and still follow the latest research and techniques regarding trauma, PTSD, and other issues of mind/body health with accredited teachers through groups such as NICABM, my heart is truly drawn to the mystical and the reality of living the sacred in our every day, ever so practical lives, be they non-sectarian or religious.
